Types of roofs

Corrugated Iron roofs are the most common roofs in Auckland. They are easily susceptible to rust, so nothing like a clean and fresh coat of paint to make your corrugated iron roof brand new.

Metal Tiled roofs are paint coated pressed metal roofs. Their paint often fades quicker than other roofs, so we recommend getting your metal tiled roof painted about every five years.

Decramastic Tiled roofs are similar to metal tiled roofs. They are easily susceptible to rust, weathering and snow, so keeping your roof paint up to standard can help prevent this.

Tray roofs are commercial roofs and are made of galvanised steel, without a factor coating. These roofs require the most maintenance, and therefore, often a fresh coating of paint helps prevent wear.

Clay tiles last the longest out of the list, and can be repainted for a fresher look, as they are there to stay for a lifetime.

Roof painting process:

Before we start painting, we will examine the condition of your roof. We will check for any broken tiles, loose nails, and weakened areas that could create problems in the future. We also use a roof mould and moss killer and remove any mould and lichen on the roof. After, the roof tiles will be pressure washed clean and a rust treatment product will be used on any areas showing rust. We then coat the roof in an appropriate primer and fresh quality roof paint designed to last. If you have any concerns after we are done, we can come back and take another look.
